Class Guidelines
To ensure a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment, we ask all clients to follow the guidelines below. These help us maintain calm, structured classes for both dogs and handlers.
Your Dog
Your dog must:
- Be under control at all times
- Remain on a lead unless instructed otherwise
- Wear a flat collar only (no choke chains, slip leads, or figure-of-eight leads)
- May wear a harness or head collar only in addition to a flat collar
- Use a standard or double-ended training lead (no retractable leads)
- Be free from illness (e.g. vomiting or diarrhoea) for at least 48 hours before class
- Not attend if affected by or exposed to contagious illness unless cleared by a vet
Dogs in season may attend provided the trainer is informed in advance and the dog is comfortable participating
Your Responsibilities
You are expected to:
- Be respectful to all handlers, dogs, instructors, and venues
- Prevent direct interaction between dogs unless instructed
- Avoid any harsh handling or punitive training methods (these are not permitted)
- Clean up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly
What To Bring
Please bring:
- Poop bags
- A bed or mat for your dog
- High-value treats or a toy
- Treats stored in a pouch or sealed container
- A water bowl (water available on request)
IMPORTANT: We are unable to offer refunds for missed sessions due to illness or other absences.
