Meet The Team
The people behind Wagology, united by a shared belief in calm, ethical, science-led support for dogs and their humans
At Wagology, we are a small team of behaviour professionals with a shared background in rescue, rehabilitation, and real-world training support. Founded by Lisa in 2021 and joined by Emily in 2022, the team was built through hands-on experience working with dogs who needed time, patience, and understanding to thrive. Our work is shaped by years spent supporting dogs in everyday environments, alongside ongoing professional development and collaboration with veterinary and behaviour professionals.

Lisa Regan
Lisa is the founder of Wagology Dog Behaviour & Training and has been working with dogs since 1988, with a particular lifelong connection to spaniel breeds. Her journey into behaviour and training was shaped through decades of lived experience with pet dogs, rescue work, and hands-on rehabilitation.
In 2007, she began working closely with rescue organisations, volunteering with North-West English Springer Spaniel Rescue, progressing from dog walking to trainee rehoming officer, alongside running a one-to-one dog walking service for anxious dogs.
Her practical experience deepened further through years of living with and rehabilitating rescue dogs with varying behavioural needs, including nervous and complex cases that required patient, structured support.
This led her to formal study, completing a Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma with distinction, and qualifying as a professional trainer. In 2021, she founded Wagology Dog Behaviour & Training to provide ethical, welfare-led behaviour support grounded in both science and real-world experience.
Lisa continues to work closely with rescue organisations including SpanielAid, Aireworth Dogs in Need, and Sprocker Assist and Rescue, and co-founded UK Spaniel Rescue in 2024 with a focus on ethical rehabilitation and education.
She is committed to ongoing professional development and holds qualifications in advanced canine behaviour, reactivity, first aid, and nutrition, and is an accredited microchip implanter. She is also a member of IAABC, ICAN, ISAP, and The Pet Professional Network.

Emily Nutter
Emily is a dog trainer and behaviourist at Wagology Dog Behaviour & Training, with a background rooted in academic study and hands-on rehabilitation work.
Her interest in behaviour began during college, studying how animals learn and why behaviour develops, alongside first-hand experience of rescuing a dog with behavioural challenges that sparked a deeper commitment to understanding training and welfare.
She went on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training, graduating with a 2:1 in 2018. Following this, she worked as an Animal Care Assistant with the RSPCA, where she gained extensive practical experience supporting dogs with a wide range of behavioural needs, from foundational training such as loose lead walking to complex reactivity cases.
During this time, Emily also adopted her own rescue Dachshund, further deepening her understanding of rehabilitation, patience, and everyday behaviour management in real-life settings.
Emily began volunteering with Wagology in 2022, shadowing training sessions and working alongside Lisa to develop her practical behaviour experience. Sharing the same force-free, welfare-led approach, she joined the team professionally in 2024.
She is an accredited member of the IMDT and a gold member of the Pet Professional Network, and is committed to ongoing development in evidence-based, ethical training practices.
How We Work Together
We work at the dog’s pace, tailoring every approach to the individual case. We collaborate with owners rather than instructing from above, ensuring you feel supported and involved throughout the process. Welfare and emotional wellbeing remain at the centre of every decision we make.
