While our Foundation Lifeskills Course has been created to be a fun learning environment for you and your puppy/dog, to make this work we just have a few little rules.
Your Puppy/Dog….
- Must be under your control at all times.
- Must be on a lead at all times, unless instructed by your trainer.
- Must wear a standard flat collar at all times.
- No use of choke/half choke chain collars/ French collars/Martingales.
- May wear a harness and if necessary, a head collar, this is in addition to the flat collar.
- Must use a standard clipping lead or double ended training lead.
- NO use of extendable leads, slipleads, or figure of 8 leads.
- Must not attend class if showing any signs of sickness, including but not limited to vomiting and diarrhoea. All puppies/dogs must be 48hours symptoms free before attending class.
- Must not attend class if puppy/dog have come into contact with a communicable disease until the incubation period as advised by your vet has passed. These are illnesses such as …..
KENNEL COUGH – PARVOVIRUS – DISTEMPER – -CANINE INFLUENZA.
- May attend classes if dog is in season, provided that the instructor(s) are made aware prior to class and that your dog is happy and able to work.
- Please note that refunds cannot be given for any classes missed due to illness.
Your responsibilities…..
- Please treat other handlers and their puppies/dogs with courtesy at all times.
- Please treat your instructor(s) and the venue with courtesy at all times.
- Please ensure that your puppy/dog does not interact with other puppies/dogs and their handlers unless otherwise indicated by your instructor.
- We will not tolerate any handler perceived to be acting harshly or using methods of punishments toward towards their puppy/dog.
- We ask that you clean up after your dog and dispose of your waste at home.
What Do You need To Bring To Class
- Poo Bags.
- Bed or mat (for your puppy/dog to settle on).
- Rewards (food or a toy).
- Water Bowl (water is available on request).
*Please make sure that your food rewards are in either a dog treat bag or a resealable tub.
